The emergence of modern Afghanistan saw the process of state formation, a highly centralized political and administrative system. History has proven that the use of such a system to construct a homogenous and singular character for an entire population of people is impossible. We believe that this long-standing model is not practical for a country that is home to diverse communities, each of which is rich in its own history, language, and cultural heritage.
Afghanistan needs a decentralized political and administrative system that is established by the will of the people and through a legitimate and legal process. Based on this model, local communities will have the power to elect their local leaders and hold them accountable. There will also be the opportunity to have an active role in policy making at the local community level. The best way forward is with a truly inclusive government, composed of diverse ethnic groups to represent the fundamental rights and true demands of the people.
The National Resistance Front fights in pursuit of freedom for the people of our nation through the establishment social justice, equality, political and cultural pluralism, upholding women’s and human rights, reviving rational Islam, and the preservation of democracy in Afghanistan.
The National Resistance Front, in order to create an independent nation, aims to establish social justice, preserve both human rights and civil rights for all, and provide equal representation for every citizen of Afghanistan; regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or religion through the revival of a tolerant, moderate Islam and the continued development of a democratic Afghanistan. As a multicultural state, Afghanistan requires a decentralised and uniform distribution of power to ensure domestic tranquility and pluralism. Decentralisation gives the men and women of Afghanistan the right to self-determination by electing officials that represent their own interests without external influence or interference.
